Salvatore Noviello, founder of NSR, began his international racing activities in 1985. He raced from 1980 to 2005, when due to heart problems he had to stop racing. NSR produces high-performance model cars, a technological concentrate of components to be competitive right from the start.
NSR is an Italian artisan company that produces 100% Made in Italy professional slotcars in its new factory opened in mid-2010. It has a factory of 1100 square meters; it is a building made with modern technologies in total respect for health and the environment. It is very comfortable, the walls are completely thermally insulated by aluminum padded panels. All rooms where personnel assemble cars and parts, have temperature controlled by automatic power inverters as well as powerful exhaust fans for welding fumes. There are photovoltaic panels placed on top of the roof to produce over 100,000 KW/year of green energy to totally meet our internal energy needs. Only young, dynamic and motivated people work inside the NSR factory, with an average age of 22!

Depending on the category we decide to cover, we begin by evaluating the model to be reproduced. Once the model is decided upon, we proceed to apply to the automaker for the necessary manufacturing licenses.
Next, a 3d model is created, referring to the original factory drawings, provided by the manufacturer, in order to obtain an extremely detailed exact replica of the car. The end result is a high-level replica that is absolutely to scale and in perfect harmony with NSR's top mechanical performance.
To the body we add all the accessories to give the most realistic look possible to our model keeping in mind that we have to reproduce a high-performance car in line with our production philosphy.
We use CAD/CAM files to create extremely precise production molds with high-standard CNC machines.
Once all components of each mold are ready, they are assembled and checked for final tuning and then begin with a short pre-production phase.
Before production, the molds are thoroughly inspected and then assembled and tested.
The body, rearview mirrors, fenders and other parts are painted with the base color in a paint room. Usually 500 bodies are painted at a time, while accessories are painted in a separate session.
Once the parts are painted, they are allowed to dry in a sealed environment to prevent dust pollution.
Once the bodies and parts are dried, they are taken to the pad printing room where the longest phase of model making is performed.
Depending on the complexity of the final livery, different pad printing machines are used; with one, two or five colors and in some cases a complex fully automated machine is used.
Once the bodywork and other parts are finished, they are returned to the paint room for a final clear coat to preserve the decorations and give the car a shiny appearance.
The assembly phase is initially divided into two separate areas: that for the mechanical part and that for the completed body.
On the one hand, the bare chassis is sheathed in all its parts until the motor cables are inserted into the rail as the last step.
Once the finished frame is ready it is "married" to its shell and we have the final product.
Bodies arriving from the lacquer stage are thoroughly examined to rid them of any paint or buffing defects and discarded if necessary.
FINAL CHECK
The completed model undergoes final inspection in case anything was overlooked during the previous stages. The moving parts are oiled for track testing, and the model is posted inside its display box ready to be sent to distributors.
After-sales customer service is something NSR has always believed in, and the list of spare parts we can offer is such that it can cover every possible need from those who enjoy experimenting with tuning options; In fact, NSR started out as a parts manufacturer before it began producing-six years ago-its own slot cars.
